Smart Plug With Timers and IFTTT Controls AC Grid Power Outlet
Introduction
This article discusses the use of our SP-WIFI-AC Smart Switch for controlling AC power, another member of the BroadLink® family of home automation devices.
It can be used as a stand-alone independent AC control switch with its own built-in timer functions for controlling any AC powered device, such as lights, heaters, fans, motors, etc.
It can also be used in concert with the other available BroadLink®devices as an IFTTT (if-this-then-that) event switch for controlling AC grid power when conditions determine that power should be switched ON or OFF.
Here is a summary of features:
- 6 types of timers that can be configured as one-shot, random and repeat timers. Timers can also be set for different days of the week, up to 26 different tasks
- ability to act as an IFTTT (if-this-then-that) event switch when used with our ES-WIFI-5V e-Air environmental sensor or our SK1-WIFI-AC alarm kit
- 'smart charge' mode senses end-of-charge cycle and shuts outlet off to prevent overcharging damage to devices
- quick and easy connection to your WiFi router with SmartConfig™
- data logger function records device history
- built-in night light function, with timers
- built-in clock displays time
